November News

Dear friends of Kevin & Maureen,

As members of the Pastoral Care team at YFC World Outreach, it was our privilege and JOY to make a field visit to and see how the Gamradt family is doing in their ministry location. When we say joy, it comes from our hearts!

We first met the Gamradts when they attended Summer Institute training in Indiana. Since then we’ve watched their diligent efforts to get funded so they could follow God’s call to reach out to the young people of Ireland with the love of Jesus and His awesome plan for salvation. Now that we've been here, we can say without reservation that all their hard work to get here is paying off!

We arrived on a Friday evening, in time to see Kevin leading a youth activity at the church. [W]e made a trip to Galway city center, and in various places young people recognized Kevin and Maureen and flocked to them for friendly conversation. We kept thinking, “How long have Gamradts been here?” because already they have made real inroads into the youth community. In one case, a young man approached Kevin and introduced himself, referring to a recent YFC event he had attended. The young lad was with his Mum who was also keen to chat with Kevin and Maureen. We can tell you… God is using this dear young couple to win the hearts of teens who desperately need to know Jesus!

Kevin and Maureen can tell you all about the critical needs among the youth culture here, but we want to well you (as 33 year veterans with YFC) that you have sent to Ireland as YOUR missionaries some of God’s absolute finest! Thank you SO very much for providing the support which enables Kevin and Maureen and their little girls to be here! Your financial gifts and prayer covering are making a real difference in this community! May the Lord continue to bless you in abundance during these challenging times!

Ron & Ruth Berger
YFC World Outreach Pastoral Care Team

We are so grateful to Ron and Ruth for all their encouraging words and just want to echo them in thanks to all who have made it possible for us to be working with the youth culture of Galway through dedicated prayers and financial giving.

Chances to share our heart’s desire ABOUND! Right now we have the opportunity to be key organizers in the youth focus of a landmark city-wide outreach here in Galway in February. This evangelistic event is not only looking to draw 600 people to hear the gospel message, but will also be evangelism seminar for 250 Christians.

God is moving in the teenagers of Ireland. Our hearts have not dulled about being called to the youth of Ireland long-term. If anything, being here has increased the passion to share Jesus with them. We have plans to return to the States to fundraise so we can stay here for as long as that passion is alive in our hearts so we can continue to pass it on to Irish youth.

Your prayers and financial support makes what God does through us here possible. However, due to the harsher economic times and how they have affected our financial support team, we have found our financial reserves will run out before our one year with YfC does in March 2010. This will force us to return to the States early. In order to honour our time commitment to YfC and to help organize the February outreach, we need everyone who receives this letter to seriously think about their part in our ministry to the teens of Ireland. We need you. You do make a difference. Please consider and pray about partnering with us and making a tax deductable monthly donation or end of year gift.

Blessings in Him,
Kevin & Maureen
