December/January News

Your prayers and support during this time have been an essential part to us being able to carry out our call to Ireland. We have been preparing for the move to Galway with building excitement. Boxes are being packed, furniture sold, goodbyes said….. There have been challenges, one of the bigger ones being a need to adjust our budget. We found that there needed to be an increase in the money set aside for house rent and heating costs in Galway. However, it is still possible to be in Ireland by March 1st as planned.

We would also appreciate your prayer in regards to our length of stay in Ireland. Our supervisors in Youth For Christ USA and Ireland really want to see us in Galway for longer than a year. They know that in a country like Ireland the young adults crave relationship but usually see youth workers coming and going all of the time. It can take a year just to build a friendship, much less a lasting ministry. As a sending agency for over a 150 missionaries they also know that there is only so much they can do. The letter included is one of those ways. YFC wants to make sure you are informed of the need and the steps needed that could help meet it.

We desire to be in Ireland pouring into those young peoples’ lives for as long as God allows. Investing in the teens that have been told they are worthless, those who feel life is hopeless, and the young people who want to make a difference. Doing all of this through the grace and hope that we receive through living in Christ.

PLEASE do not see these letters as asking for more money. We want to be responsible and make you aware of the changes that have happened. PLEASE take these letters as petition for prayer. Pray that God would provide. Pray about what God would have you do and then act upon that prayer. For those of you that have prayed and responded to those prayers, we are so thankful, whether that meant giving or not.

You can make a difference in a young person’s life in Ireland.

Pray for their hope to be in Jesus.

Continue to send in your monthly pledges as this will quickly close the gap of the new need, allowing us to leave for at least one year.

Give of your time in prayer and your financial resources—any size commitment, big or small, makes a difference.

In Him,

Kevin and Maureen
